收集意見

致各位UCB參加者:
我現正準備下學期的UCB，但是有一些問題未能決定，所以希望收集大家的意見。請大家投票決定(留言或email給我):
1. UCB每隔一星期舉行，還是每一星期舉行?
2. UCB每逢星期幾的晚上舉行? (只可選一至五)

另外，目前正徵求講者，有意主講的朋友請報名，報名時最好包括大概的題目和大概時間(e.g.三月中)。至於最新的update，各位可參看: http://ucbcuhk.blogspot.hk。

2012年UCB已經結束

致各位UCB參加者:
感謝昨天Helic在世界末日之前，向大家分享了如此私人的回憶，雖然其中既內容好多「嘟」，十足摩斯密碼咁，不過都好感謝Helic教我地點樣媾女，呀唔係，係點樣同女仔相處，相信大家都獲益良多(或者係勾起回憶，跟住憶女成狂?)。

玩笑過後，今年(2012年)UCB已經結束，我十分感謝大家既參與，令我當初重啟UCB的願望得以成真，希望大家下一年能夠繼續支持UCB，至於下年再開的細節，我會通過email和UCB的blog公佈。

Helic 如何跟女孩子相處

Throughout the talk, I will briefly introduce Helic's personal history, and psychological + inter-relational trend on dealing with girl issues. To be specific, I will further elaborate my viewpoints on girl-dealing at Helic's age of 16, 19, 21 and 25 years old respectively. Examples and quotes will be provided as to illustrate some of Helic's (past / present) ideas.

Personally I do not want to treat this session of UCB as a 1-way talk. Keen discussions, opinion expressing and personal experience sharing from audience are greatly welcome. In order to encourage keen discussion and participation, no powerpoint and recordings will be provided on Monday. So everyone can / should just talk as much as you can.

If you wanna attend but don't know how to reach the venue, please just call me or Ben at least a day before so we can teach you. Thanks.

Symmetry prevails around us, in art, in architecture, in everyday objects.

Humans have cherished symmetry since antiquity. However, does Nature herself share the same artistic sense with us?

 

She need not be, but she is.

 

With our incomplete knowledge, we already see the fundamental laws that rule all the complexity in this universe, is full of simplicity, elegance and symmetry.

 

I will try to show how Nature has cherished symmetry in her laws, and how symmetry has become the beacon in guiding research in fundamental physics.
